Congrats on the new WRX!
dont waste your time or money on a BOV. not going to help you in any way except attract the wrong kind of attention.
most mods for the 2008s are still a little down the road. cobb has a front sway bar but that is really the only thing I have found for the 2008s.
make sure to introduce yourself in the new members section.
where are you and your new 08 WRX at? first subie? previous vehicle?
Welcome aboard.
BTW Seth, this IS the New Members section.![]()

i traded in my 04 srt-4, im in the pittsburgh, pa area so i needed something AWD and still wanted the turbo...i had a bunch of stuff done to my srt-4 and the sts, bov and exhaust were my favorite and i wanted to get one for my new car...i love the way they sound!! i did have a 04 sti when they first came out for about a year or so but wasnt a member here!!
actually in pittsburgh of one of the outlaying areas? I grew up about 30 miles south in Belle Vernon. Worked in Pleasant Hills at a Toyota dealership for a few years while in school. my family still all lives in the western PA area - mostly the Mon Valley area.
I dont know how they react with the new ones, but if they react to a BOV like the old ones, your car actually runs a little worse with a BOV on the stock setup - at least in the WRX models.
Cobb wont have the accessport out for at least a little while so some of the good power mods are on hold for a little while and I imagine that suspension things will be the first to surface and would probably do better with the bigger vehicle that the new WRX is.
IMO, look into suspension things first. then the power stuff should start to come out.
I think the subaru short throw is available already, but have not seen anything in the way of a full catback system from SOA or aftermarket.
You might be able to find the aftermarket mufflers that some of the legacy GT guys use and have a custom catback made that would good.
I think he'll get the point^^^

I don't close them, I just merge them into TR's superthread.
I wouldn't do that to a new member's introduction thread, though. Wouldn't be polite....
