    Mark forums read?

What is up with the 'Mark Forums Read' feature. I never hit that link but new threads are sometimes no longer new on their own.

If you stay logged in too long does the site automatically mark the forums read for you?

P.S. I searched for this and came up empty.

Arrow Oh you mean the... History Eraser Button?

The Mark Forums Read button does just that. Usually when you log into the club the titles of threads you haven't read, show in bold (the ones with new posts since you last visited). It's supposed to make it easier to see what you haven't read yet. The mark forums read button just flips all thread titles back to regular font (as i you've already read them all, as of that time.) However, as soon as somebody posts in one of those threads the title will reflect in bold print again until you read the unread posts. The only other way to mark them all read is to log out or be inactive so long that the system assumes you are logged out. When you log back in the thread titles of the threads with new posts since your last visit, will be reflected in bold.

Go ahead and try the mark all forums read one time... it won't hurt anything.

Just kidding. It's really a practical joke set up by Tim the owner of this site. We call it the "history eraser button". Once you click it you will be instantly banned permanantly. Not to worry though because shortly there after, all life in the universe will cease to exist.

That is what I don't like. If am away from my computer for a while but I leave the New Posts window open, when I return and hit refresh to see all the new ones the 'old new' posts I haven't read yet are no longer bold.

Did that make any sense? Not that I want any one to do anything about it or anything. Can I change this inactivity period default?

    Life is so unfair.

Bump this thread for the inactivity period.

Did it get shorter with a recent update?

It seems like I walk away from my desk to take a leak and grab a beer and when I return I have been automatically logged out before I have had a chance to skim through all the new threads.
