    Daniel,
sorry mate but the good ole US of A was "jipped" on getting the wrx model until March '01 when we got the "bugeye" as a MY 2002 model.
    the "classic" (GC8) here was a 2.5NA motor !
although you can find swapped versions here now(ones with 2.0T engines)
rs25.com is the main forum over here for "classics"
and good ole scoobynet.co.uk has the whole range from'94 to present.

Yeah, I have a 97/98 Sti wagon. It's having a few engine problems at the moment, but it's still a great car. I started an intro thread somewhere, let me find it...
New. Just bought a JDM STI v4

Your car looks really good for it's age. How many kms has it done? Easy advice to give (and hard to take), but be careful with the new car and learn your way around the limits. The old GC8s are much lighter than the new wrxs, which is all good, until you crash it. Then, they are not the safest car in the world.

Oh yeah, and I'm in Japan but I'm an Australian guy. What's funny about VB is that while it's not the best beer in Australia, you might miss it if you could never drink it.

She has done roughly 132,000Km, which is pretty decent. And the acceleration on this baby is OMG! I am actually getting 2 brand new tyres for the front which are costing me $350per tyre. (AUS $$) So that just
hurt the bank. But I still need more power. What should I do?
And I am already in the market for a new Turbo. Oh and thanks
    for the positive replies!!
