    hey im new any advise?

    so guys my name is Zach and i live in southern Indiana. im pickin up my '02 sadona red wrx impreza today after class and im stoked. but anyways being a noob to these cars i would appreciate any "advice" u guys may have to offer. i know these cars have pretty fragile transmissions and i do intend on modifying the car. but im looking for any thing that i may need to know about initially.(have done a ton of research but one can never be to cautious) thx guys.

    Welcome!

    Congrats on the bugeye WRX!

    Yes, the transmissions aren't the greatest asset of the WRX, but they are ok if you take care of them. If you are getting the 5spd manual, I would say 1st and reverse are touchier than, say a honda transmission, but otherwise you're good to go.

    Post up a couple of pics when you pickup the badboy.

    the bank needed some more stuff so im getting it after class today, here in a bout an hour. i will try to post up pics with a nice camera but as for now all i have is my phone (terrible resolution).

    yea i noticed that after the thread was goin so i figured id leave it. anyways thanks for the links. i got the car yesterday and i am extremely happy with it. it was alot more than i honestly expected. it is an absolute blast to drive. pics will be up soon, hopefully tonight.

    +1 and double clutching makes 1st and reverse easier.

    yea i heard it was a pretty rare color for the year and i got a nice deal on it so i figured wth (i'd been looking for an excuse to get rid of the v6 camaro). yea im doing a lot of research right now just to make sure the things i do to it wont harm it. i know a BOV with stock setup can cause engine problems or so i read. i was wondering which exaust is the best all around for the car?
