    Personally, I wouldn't go with any mesh material in the scoop. The few I have seen that done to previously, looked really cheesy. Additionally, to REALLY provide any level actual protection, the mesh would have to so tight as to severely restrict air flow... There are real reasons why they don't bother with mesh in scoops from the factory... Besides, I put almost 100k on my subies and I never saw any significant damage to my IC.

    If your that worried, I would suggest you just go to Lowe's/home depot and get a window A/C compressor fin brush...

    hey whats up...the sport grill look 10000x better then the crome nonsense. sorry to hear about the IC....if you have a bent fin here or there on your IC it's not going to cause any issues. its bound to happen and there's nothing yu can do about it...its just part of having a subaru.
