Yes I will stick around, it is nice to know that I can chat to people about my car and also about yours. I must admit that I am relatively new to forums so I may ask you guys for assistance now and again.

    Yes and no.

We didnt get the turbo model here until the 2002 model year. Commonly referred to as a "Bugeye" it has round front headlights and is the next bodystyle newer of your car. In 2004 the fornt ends and headlights changed and we finally got an STi here in the U.S.A. but it was different in that it came with a 2.5L EJ257 engine. In the 2006 Model year, the headlights changed again and all wrx's started coming with the 2.5L.

I would sell bodyparts to be able to source a UK300 or a Type 25 here stateside!

Nono, you misunderstand me, I mean "YOURS!" (points at you, then grabs his luggage/lockpicking kit and tickets to the UK).

Ice, your car has a lot of power. I do know of a car belonging to a mate of mine, it is a 555, he too has that type of output, but he has spent a lot of money on it. The standard uk Classic has about 220 hp, I think that the latest UK Impreza Turbo base model has about 230 hp.

Same as here stateside. 2007 model year had 230HP for a turbo version, STi had 292HP. 2008 models have the same 2.5l and 230hp.
