Yeah, stage 2 numbers would be nice. I really want to know how the transmissions hold up. Re-designing a new transmission for 08 may be interpreted as fixing the flaws in the 06/07 glass-boxes. Anyone know if they re-used last year's tranmissions?

thanks again guys. the more i drive it, the more i love it.

i'm going to order the sport grill Thurs when i see the dealer again.

once i get used to driving manual again i'll hit up Raceway Park and get some timeslips before modding.

good choice.. get the sport grill. the new look is growing on me. all it need is sport grill (which you said you will get), lowered, shaved emblems on the trunk and some gold wheels.

Based on the ratios, it looks like a stock Legacy trans, which is pretty solid until you exceed 300 awhp.

The clutch will be another story. They are durable, but absolutely no grip for launching.

you can definitely feel the ratio difference even in my outback sport compared to my old wrx. makes a world of difference even in the N/A with the better ratio.

I meant just replace the chrome bar. Doesn't fit with a Suby, IMHO.

that bar looks/feels like it is just plastic so taking it off and having it painted to match the car should be a big deal.

Yeah I hate that chrome bar...I hated it when they first came out with the new Jetta/Golf/Rabbits...that huge chrome thing looks cheap

Congrats on the new WRX, I'm still curious if the body roll is actually worse than previous gen, as I've heard someone who test drove it say such.

Unfortunately the car still isnt growing on me, (although that black grill is definitely helping take away some of the front end ogre'esk joker happy face look). I probably need to do some drugs, head on down to the local dealership and maybe I'll have an epiphany.
