    Smile hi everyone^^ noob here and to subaru..

    hello everyone^^
    right now im kinda car-less and looking to buy an '02-'03 WRX..
    what kind of things should i be aware of when buying a used subaru?
    are there any serious recalls or issues with the model that im intrested in?
    also.. if you know anywhere that i could get a really good deal on a WRX let me know.. any help is greatly appreciated

    I know is the WRX trannies are an old design especially the 02-03 models youre looking at. The 06-07 trannies are a little more improved, but still pretty much the same design. Im not sure what your goals will be for your car, but if youre looking at pushing out more than about 280hp or more, you may need to start saving up for better gears. The torque is what really kills the gears though, but if youre a good driver and dont beat the tranny up, you should be ok. Good luck...and when you do find one, happy modding!
