    sup guys.. stoppin in to make my first post..

    picked up a 04 wrx with 14k on it yesterday...

    gonna be pickin at your heads soon for more mods..

    mods when purchased..
    turboxs bov
    aem intake
    lowered
    strut tower braces
    and a short throw..

    clean car.. fun as hell to drive..

    Congrats on the purchase and welcome!

    Check out the stickies and do a little searching on intakes and bovs; It may change your mind.

    I say you work your way backwards on that list. Short throw, strut, and lowering, by that time you will realize you wont need or want the other mods you have listed

    Basically, what everyone is beating around the bush about is blow off valves and intakes are teh suxor when those are your only p-formance mods. A stock rex would rape you.

    Congrats on the WRX, and welcome to the forums.

    Take the BOV and CAI off that list and you'll be good to go

    Let me (another n00b) rescue this boy.

    The car came with the BOV and CAI, he's not planning to install them.

    You should take those off and get an AP, TBE, & UP

    dude i have a 05 wrx i (as a n00b) replace the air filter with the drop in box trueflow air filter, and replace the intake Silencer (deleted) .. now my car is noiser, but no HP gain. it doesnt worth to spend that money on those upgrades.

    thanks for the welcome guys..

    i was browsing the forum last night and saw a ton of posts about BOV's and CAI and i am planning on removing them.. luckily I sell Subaru's in Riverhead Long Island and i can get the stock parts at cost..

    i'll buy some real mods soon after..

    definitley get rid of the BOV..as it will do long term damage to your car. the CAI is ok but you cant use it if you do a cobb access port.....oh and welcome
