'06 WRX TR vs. '05 STi

Also, look at it this way. The STi (which, in this case had about 35k miles on it) was about 5 grand more than my TR (which I got for 24,400 with the spoiler and fog lights). For way less than 5 grand, MY TR COULD RUN WITH OR EXCEED AN STI. Especially the older ones with the EJ20 in them. I dunno, I think I made the right decision by going with a brand new car.

Enough rambling for now.

1. All USDM STis have the EJ257. None had the 2.0l.
2. I would love to blow up the dealership that was asking 29,400 for an STi that had 35K miles on it. WTF are they thinking? You must live in an area of the country where they bend you over with car prices. I live in Nashville but I flew up to PA to pick up my 05. I paid 27,800 for mine. Bone stock, boost gauge, keyless entry, short shifter and had 9,500 miles on it. i've had it for 7 months and have only put 5K miles on it so far.

Well I do live in St.louis Misery. Everything is pretty high here, but yeah. You're right 29 was too much. I knew that but nevertheless, it was what it was. The other one I found (Sti) was an 05 with 27k for it and they wanted almost 28 grand for it. Both overpriced, but this one was SEXY. I almost went WAAY into debt (instead of just "way" into debt) and bought it, but I don't know how it's been driven for those 27 thousand miles. That was my main thing, I wanted a NEW car so I could raise it myself so to speak.

Nevertheless, I apologize about the Engine Code error. I obviously need to learn more about these cars.
