I just wanted to say hi to everyone and thanks for the sweet site!
I've had my bugeye since 2003 and have it still in awsome shape - 25k miles and no signs of trauma. I learned to drive on a Big-wheel so I've taken a while to get used to the AWD - Its been great for the NC mountains here but I'm going to have to do something to get some power back at this elevation. I swear it pulled harder in KS with 91 octane.
I think I will go with the AP and MadDad stealthback (until they come out with a dual tip that doesn't drone). It seems like Salt Lake is at a similar elevation so their maps should be pretty safe here (3-5k feet ASL)?? I also want to get the balance sorted out better. It improved with the tires at equal pressure but I couldn't get a real good read on whether that was safe for the center diff, so it looks like rear sway bar and...? I'm fine with the stock wheels and tires for now. I don't want to have to go mach to get a little free. Oh and please don't read this the wrong way - I am not 16, don't have a BOV, and I am aware of snap oversteer. In fact I drove a 76 buick estate wagon at 16 with a 455 and RWD in the Cleveland snow.
here is a slightly older pic, and my last car (not the truck scroll down but also a daily driver): (pause while n00b searches for the attach button). Please let me know what you think.
