An uppipe is good for any "stage" (ask Cheeseybacon). Quicker spoolup is what you get.

The Cobb catback is my somewhat biased favorite (I have one along with their downpipe).

His '06 already has a catless uppipe. He might get a little better spool up with an aftermarket one, but I really wouldn't worry about it.

You're definately not going to see the gains that a '02-'05 WRX will see when they replace their catted uppipe.

If you going to get one, Crucial Racing gets my vote. Ceramic coating FTW!

You do not need an uppipe as the one you have is already catless. A downpipe and catback (known as a TBE or Turbo Back Exhaust) would unleash power from your engine. EM (Engine Management) would be helpful.

    Please read the stickies.

you need a down pipe and a catback

the downpipe is the most important...

you DONT need the up pipe

if this is to confusing and your still not sure of what pipes to get

just buy a COBB ACCESSPORT and call it a day

read the stickies or reread this thread its all in here

    ^^^ Easy Trigger...

A catback exhaust is really a personal preference. You can do some research and ask around to find out what will give you the sound you're looking for. You also need to get something that will look good.
