    Worried about reliability

Been around here for quite awhile now, and have made several posts, including one about my plan to build a up a crx.

I'm getting the wrx, as my daily driver, and I'm concerned about it going as far as I would like for it to go. The other two cars that i'm considering is the new Civic SI, and an RSX-S. Honda/Acura's have a reputation for going +200,000 miles and you just dont hear that about subaru's.

So a couple questions, what make subarus more/less reliable, other then the fact that they have a turbo, and what limits their life?

Because of the design of the engine, don't they idle at very low oil pressure?

Just don't want to buy a car, from a company who sucks about their warranty, and have lots of issues.

Don't plan on modding the car at all, other then doing some interior work

    Thanks again for any help

Subaru was rated by Consumer Reports to have the LEAST number of defects per 100 cars, making it the MOST reliable car company in 2005.

Honda/Acura were in the top 10 iirc. They are about the same when it comes to long term reliability when being 100% stock.

Also, I just saw a commercial from SOA that states something like 75% of Subaru's from 10 years ago are still on the road today. I can defiently believe that.

I have yet to see anything about Subaru not honoring their warranty on a stock car. It's when you start modifying the car and then try and have SOA fix something you broke that it becomes an issue.

Ive had an RSX, and now i have a Stage 4 WRX, neither car was better than the other in terms of reliability. The RSX was amazing all 3 years that I had it. They even changed a dead low beam bulb in my 3rd year, under warranty. That was the only repair ever made to my car. My WRX has been great for the past year.
