However, if you want a V8 in a small car, you can always go with a Monster Miata. http://monstermiata.com/default.asp

Got any pics of your '91 Stang? I'd like to see it. I'm into stangs. I've got a '90 5.0, '97 vert and '68 fastback.

Thats a proper powerplant for that car.

OK you twisted my arm. Here is my car.

I've never been a big fan of Mustangs, but I do like those old LX 5.0's a lot. Nice looking car man.

I apologize in advance if Mustangs are not your cup of tea

    SubeStang,

Sweet ride. I love the clean looks and the '99 cobra wheels look perfect. I thought the Emerald green color was exclusive to the '90 convertible special edition cars. Did you have the car repainted? I did a five lug conversion on my '90 5.0 too. The Legacy will be in good company and I already love it

I gave my neighbor who own a WRX STI a spin in the Cobra one day. He was most impressed with the torque the car made. He wished his WRX could generate that much torque. He's supposed to give me a ride in his STI someday...I'm looking forward to it.
You had mentioned the wheel gap. Swift springs take care of that nicely, and they aren't bad for the dollars.

An UP, DP and Cobb AP Stage 2 will make the LGT quicker in a straight line that a stock STi, so if your neighbor's is still stock, maybe you can give him a ride instead (after your mods).

    Beautiful rides indeed.

That is the factory color on my car. Actually its the original paint as well. I think its a rare combo because the car also has factory grey leather. Not sure how many were made that way.

I have yet to tear into the engine yet. The car has 99,134 miles right now and is running strong.

    Mods:
5 lug 4 wheel disc brake conversion (Drum brakes on these cars never made sense)
    '99 Cobra 17x8" wheels w/245/45/17 BFGs
Equal length shorty headers (soon to be replaced with better stainless versions)
    High flow catted H pipe
    Bassani stainless catback, 3" tips
    Subframe connectors
    K-member brace
    Strut tower brace
    Under drive pulleys
    Eibach Pro-Kit Springs
    Tokico HP shocks&struts
    3.55 rear end gears
    High flow water pump
    3 core radiator
    K&N drop in filter

Never tracked the car but I assure you its slow.

Really nothing major other than the 5 lug conversion

Planning a mild street set up....
    Ported E7 heads
    Bore to 306ci
    Ported stock lower intake
    70mm mass air meter
    65mm Accufab throttle body
    E303 cam
    1.7 rockers
    5 angle valve job

I'd love to turbo the car, but it probably wouldn't happen for a very long time

    YBNormal07,

Thanks for the spring info. My wife mentioned she wanted to avoid lowering the car but fill in the gaps so it looks more like the Spec B. I did a little research and discovered the following:
    L GT
215/45/17 overall diameter is 24.6 inches

    Spec B
215/45/18 overall diameter is 25.7 inches

Do you think Subabru recalibrated the speedo for this difference in tire size? If not the speedo would be reading slower than your actual speed.

    SubeStang,

Stock paint?...wow, very impressive. I have 155,000 on my 5.0 LX and it still has the original clutch! Your 5.0 still has plenty of miles to go.

I did a head swap on my motor with some TFS alum heads and a Cobra upper and lower intake + lots of other typical mods, but left the stock cam. I blew a head gasket playing with 100 HP shots of nitrous about 75,000 miles ago on the unmodified motor, otherwise I bet the motor would still be all original.

You won't believe the difference better breathing heads will make to your 5.0!!
