    Emissions

Hi, I just bought an '02 with 52k for $12,500. I think I got a good deal, but the previous owner was in WV and I live in OH. He has a wicked exhaust on there and I'm not sure if it has a catalytic still in the exhaust. Does anyone know of an exhaust for our car that cuts the catalytic? Or is it just a really freaking loud pipe?

Yeah there are numerous turbo back exhausts that eliminate all the catalytic converters on a WRX. Best bet is to get under the car and look for the cat

take it to the emissions testing center and before they test it, ask them and have them look for you............. no really dont. just look for a catalytic converter.

So if I took it to an emissions place and it had no catalytic, what would they do? I'll probably get the car in the garage tomorrow, but am just wondering what kind of trouble I would be in?
