    another new wrx owner here

    hey all.
I have been lurking and trying to learn here for a few weeks. I have finally bought a 06 wrx tr.
    will get it monday.
I am new to the turbo engine world. I have a buddy that says I need to get a boost gauge.
But I fail to see the NEED for it. is it recommended? on a stock vehicle?
If I get one what is a good one?
thanks. Ill post pics when I get it monday.

Welcome, I wouldn't say you need one if you're running stock. . but if you do get one ensure that it's something that if down the road you continue to want more guages you can get identical looking gauges.

I think that Defi are just about the best looking gauges out there.

Defi gauges are definately hott, but they are rather pricey. Stock, the only reason you would need a gauge would be to make sure that your car is running correctly, but because its stock, it most likely is. If you dont plan on modding, then id say dont worry about it....

But everyone mods, whether they want to or not, so get one, and you'll thank yourself later. +1 to BrainH on identical looking gauges... my friend made that mistake, and his gauge pod looks totally stupid now with two completely different looking gauges.

    well picked them up today.
I got the wrx and wife traded in her legacy wagon for the sedan.

wrx wing and light kit should be here by friday. no dealers in colo had any wrx. only had the limited. and that was out of my price range.
so they made a TR a wrx. (without the temp control)
