Hey guys, I just joined up after lurking for a couple days. I don't own a Subaru right now, but I'll get to that.

Right now I'm rolling in a 2001.5 Audi A4 1.8T Quattro (AWD) 5-spd. I've had the car for about 7 months now. I bought it at 47k miles, but considering I am only 17 right now, I'd like something with Japanese reliability to help save a little money when I am out on my own, and much more hp than my little 170hp 1.8L turbo can dish out.

My mods on my Audi include a nice layer of dirt and dust to make it more of a sleeper, messy trunk to help load the back for better traction, a dented fender from when a tree jumped out at me, a little Bosch Gremlin wreaking havoc on my left tail light cluster (not one bulb, the whole thing), and a busted fog light lense. Who needs lenses anyway?

As you can see, I've got a bit of work to do before I can sell my Audi and pick up a scoobie. The fender/door/fog lamp lense is going to cost me around $800 from an Audi dismantler, but I'm doing the work myself. I'm also fixing the tail light this weekend if I finally get off my butt and do some work on it.

It occured to me a couple weeks ago that my car is basically a money pit even if I don't mod it, so I don't think its worth it to keep. Its a beautiful car with rich silver metallic paint, but I won't enjoy it if every other paycheck is going towards the car to keep it going. So right now I'm going to finish all the work to make it pretty again, while at the same time saving up at least $8000 to put up as a downpayment in addition to the proceeds of the Audi sale for a brand new STI with most likely a 48 month loan. I'd really rather pay cash, but I'll cross that bridge when I get to it. I'm generally a German car fanatic (I also have plans to build an A2 VW GTI 2.0 16v turbo in the rat stylzz form at some point in the future)

Here's some pics of my Audi, as well as the fender/door combo dent:

There she is. I'm still pondering the STI idea, but in the meantime, I'll be hanging out here.
