I was wondering if someone could help me, as I have discovered an anomaly. I was accelerating briskly in the new vehicle, and a light illuminated amongst the gauge cluster, I believe it was the "OBD" indicator. I was taken aback by this, and out of worry for unseen damage, turned the car off for approximately fifteen minutes. I then attempted to restart, and upon success, was pleased to see that the light did not reappear. The Owner's Manual states that I should take it to my dealer if the light were to remain illuminated. So I turn to you, the enlightened members of ClubWRX, is this distress for naught? Please advise, as my mental state is in disarray.

Punctuation, spelling, grammar, proper use of capital letters, etc... These are all elementary school things, that actually are important in making things easier to read, and therefore, much more possible to get an answer that you can use. Relax, not everything has to be done quite so fast, and you will get an answer, and seem much more intelligent.

assuming the suggestion that the "obd" and the "cel" are one and the same is right, when I picked up my '06, the guys at the dealer told me to always check to see if the gas cap is tightened enough. "you should get three clicks out of it, or roughly a turn and a half after it starts clicking. otherwise, the Check Engine Light might come on."
Don't know if it's BS or not, but it's worth a shot, I suppose!

As the thread origninator, you should be able to under "thread tools". If not, let me know and I'll delete it. I wouldn't sweat it though. Everyone has noobitis at one time or another.
