    got a 02 wrx w/3 1/2' downpipe to stock cat, then stock exhaust. happy to be a member, my mechanic says my cat is about to go, and the exhaust doesnt look good either.... any idea what could happen????? thanks

    +1 on the replace
    I don't Know what happens w/ a wrx, but with my old f150 it just cloged up the exhaust, and it didn't want to start. So it got gutted.

    if it was only that easy

    money is very tight right now, i am a college student and have loans to finish paying, i was simply asking b/c if it broke as of now, i would be out of a car..... thanks for the replys i better start saving for 3'' catback.......

    remove all exhaust pieces after your downpipe.

    i wouldnt have any high end power and it would be loud as crap.....and gettin crappy gas milage....doesn't sound good to me
