    FNG here

    Hi all,
Just purchased an 04 sti and the previous owner is telling me that the brakes will need to be changed soon (like I didn't notice). He is also telling me that the rotors cannot be turned, that they need to be replaced. Any truth to this?

Could be if they are thin. If he had them turned a few times, the rotors will be thinner than the minimum specs. Measure them and consult the tech manual.
