I am going to buy a turbo timer very soon, I was wondering what is a good brand and how much I should expect to pay? Also would it be something someone with very little car knowledge should atempt to instal.

As mentioned the stock turbo does not need a turbo timer but if you must buy one I would suggest the blitz ddt dc2 since it has a built in boost gauge.

Twisty Monster - 335 ft/lb of torque @ 3600 rpm on a stock turbo. Is that possible? Yes it is.

Hmm I always thought that that was something kinda important. So I guess I get to save for something else! Anyone with any ideas for a good first mod for under $400?

T timer isn't need because the turbo is water and oil cooled.

It is not required for out turbo. There are turbos out there that do require them. You should consider turbos that are water and/or oil cooled.

The above mods mentioned are great starting points.

I wouldn't say it is a waste of money, but it really isn't necessary for our turbo setups. Unless you plan on running full boost just before you park it everytime.

    Turbo timer? Just say no.

    Say yes to an Accessport.

Well, I wasn't planning on getting a turbo timer or anything, but was wondering about cooling off the car before you turn off the engine.
I was told by a sales person to let it cool off every time I drive and am following the advice till this day. I haven't tried using full boost or rev it up to 8K yet, but I do some spirited driving here and there and thought it was best for the car(turbo) to be cooled off before I step away. I only do it for a minute... Is this necessary?

I'm guessing because they can make you one for cheap. But seriously, forget the turbo timer and get something usefull. i.e. springs or EM.
