    Question On the Freeway...

I just got an 02 WRX and i was on the freeway testing it out and the govenor kicked in about 115MPH. Is there any way to lift that?

I am also looking for info on a good boost controller and turbo timer.

An Engine Management system will give you lots more power to play with as well as getting rid of that pesky govenor. Check out the engine performance area for ideas, and info on the boost controller.

I sure do. A turbo timer is not needed for these cars, due to where the turbo sits, and a boost controller has been known to do some bad things to the block. Partial throttle, full boost=engine damage. As far as engine management system, I love my ECUTek reflash. I went with an exhaust to open things up, and then the ECUTek reflash, and it makes so much more power! I am through 115 in fourth gear and still pulling hard! Search through the engine performance area, and tons of info will pop up. Accessport is one EM people really like, and a UTEC will make serious power as well.

It a top speed limiter...maintained by the ECU...not a "governor" per se.

Utec, Cobb AP, and Ecutek are the more popular EMS out there. For quickest easiest results, go with the Cobb AP. For future growth, any of these 3 will suffice as long as you select a good tuner who knows the EMS platform you select.
