    Brand new to forums

    Hey,
    My name is Adam iam new to the forums, and finding that iam falling deeper into the import passion, i drive a toyota 4x4 tacoma but iam looking at saving up selling the truck putting down some cash and just gettin like a 02WRX and modding from there, i was wondering if there was anything to look for when purchasing these cars and then i was wondering about the Impreza Rs if they are any good! thanks for the help

    dont bother with the 02-05 RS's, they arent what they used to be when the WRX came out. your best bet would be to get an 02/03 WRX. i would inspect the turbo and listen for weird sounds. an 04/05 STi is great to have too

    +1 for the WRX. Also check out the tranny for smooth shifting and no funny noises.

    Compression check, Id take it to a subaru dealership and have it inspected. they usually have free 40 point inspections just so the technician can get something out of looking it over. Make sure the transmission shifts smooth, if it has mods make sure you talk to the person who did the mods. Also make sure if they are good quality parts.
