Allow me to introduce myself... another WRX enthusiast

    Hello everyone,

My name is Zach. I am a web designer from Naples, Florida. Some interests include cars (of course), movies, web design/graphics/animation/media, and photography.

I'm currently in the mix of deciding on a new car... I'm getting it at the end of the year... the choices are as follows:

    - New Subaru WRX
    - Used STi
    - Used Evo VIII
    - New RSX Type S
    - Used Jetta GLI

    - Zach

welcome and good luck with the decision. Buying a used performance car is asking for trouble so i'd go with something new. I'd go with the wrx. But since your considering the rsx type s and gli and they are both fwd, why not the srt4 acr edition? quicker and handles better than both.

Howdy Zach, welcome to the club

Get the new WRX (OK, I'm a little biased).

Welcome to the party! I bought a used 05 STi and haven't had any problems with it, so you can get lucky sometimes just gotta be careful.

The STi is one heck of a car!!! Drive some of them to see which suits you better.

    Thanks

If I'm getting a used STi, is there anything I should look for in particular as far as how well it has been taken care of?

    ^ lol

haven't you ever seen austin powers?

this is how I look at it:
Once you go AWD, you won't look back. The STi and EVO are in a completely separate class.. the "new" WRX is tempting though. Given Mitsu's recent financial strain and troubles (unsure of current status) I'm not sure they will be around to maintain support for their cars, but I dunno whats going on right now.

so, by process of elimination, you have the STi.

Yea for those that didnt notice that, first off you should be slapped, that is from the first Austin Powers, I love that quote.

"We are talking about unchecked aggression here, dude, we are drawing a line in the sand and across that line you DO NOT, oh and Chinamen is not the prefered nomenclature, Asian-American please."
"Walter, we're not talking about someone who built the railroad....."

Wow bro sorry, I've seen Austin Powers 100 times and I can't remember that for the life of me

    Thanks for the welcome's...

I'm heavily leaning towards a WRX or STi

I like the interior so much more than the Evo.... and that is what you see the most so you should like it

No worries, I like the Subarus better than anything that is even close in comparison in price. And if you can get an STI, that would be super tight, I just kind of think Mitsu. is crappy, have always thought that. I just dont think it gets much better than the STI, as far as what you get for the price, cant go wrong.
