A TS 1.6 is An (Sohc) n Wrx is an (dohc ) meaning both of them has a different cams izzit ... but wat is the difference .. .. a Dohc help to provide more combustion thus allowing the engine 2 ??? go faster ??

dohc (dual overhead cams) means u have 2 intake and 2 exhaust valves. more flow=more power (as long as it is set up right). for instance, take the ford mustang. the GT model mustang has a single cam (pushrod style) until 95. in 1996, they went to SOHC which means 1 cam per cylinder head. v8 engine has 2 cylinder heads. the cobra model from 1996 to now, has DOHC which means 2 cams per cylinder head.

V8's tend to love DOHC setups. you can read up all this information on howstuffworks. they give details on how a cam works exactly. that site helped me learn so much about cars. if you can figure out 1 car engine, you pretty much know em all (except 1.3L rotary engines, different world there!).

i like to use V8 engines as examples because of how big and simple they are. we have boxer engines which are different in comparison to a traditional 4 banger car.
