    New here, not really.

Hey, I've been a lurker here for about two years now, but am introducing myself now. I currently drive a Protege5 but am looking to step up to either a wrx wagon or a legacy gt wagon. I've always wanted a wrx, but the reason I didn't get the it in the first place was that at the time was that I wasn't making that much money and lived in a kinda crappy neighborhood. That said, I make a little more now and have my own house with garage so the wife and I figured to trade up before we have kids. The protege is barely modded, eibach prokit/tokico blues and an injen cold air are about all I've done to it. We'll see how it goes when we visit the dealership, but I've got myself set on a wrx while my wife likes the legacy. Anyway, my name is Jonathan, and I'm addicted to cars.

We went to a dealership today in Reno (we're on vacation in Tahoe and went to reno for Hot August Nights), the salesman didn't know **** other than the usual specs of the car. He's never seen the 06's, was caught off guard that I was correcting some of the mis-information he was vomiting. Other than that, I like the car more and more. When we get back home, I'll start pursuing this more aggresively.

yes, p5's are nice cars. I love every minute of driving mine. They have quite a bit of potential, but nothing that I was interested in since they require quite the investment to get them going.

You mean the salesman didn't know the car inside and out?

    Welcome to the club!

What are the average prices going for an 05 wagon? Or, what should I aiming for, considering options and what-not? I was hoping to get one for under 24, am I dreaming?

I did it! Traded the protege5 in tonight and picked up an 05 Aspen White Wrx wagon. Got it from Lancaster Subaru in CA. I highly recommend going through Mike Spencer, the fleet manager. He was super nice and came in on both of his days off to help us out. Sorry for the crappy pic, but you all know what a wagon looks like.
