Just thought I'd drop buy and have a look at what you guys are doing with you're rexies. I realise that you never got the best ones (the 99 or 00 models) but it seems you've done a good job with the bug and blob eyes.

    Cheers

Here's a few piccys from about a year ago. Looks a little different now but it's pretty close.

I know the classic wrx's aren't as flashy as the newer models but they are alot lighter, go alot harder and respond to modifications alot better. It puts a smile on my face everytime I drive it.

Thanks for the compliments. Very jealous of you guys getting the 2.5 litre motors. Hopefully we'll get them soon but I'm not holding my breath. Quite a few people are importing 2.5 motors from the states to wack them into our rexies but from what i' ve heard they require a fair bit of work to make them reliable when putting out big power.

Yes there are a few people importing 2.5s. Check out what one of your fellow countryman is installing.

I recognise his name from www.rexnet.com.au. Looks like an awesome car. A few guys from around my area have done the swap but it has cost them big biccies which has scared me off. Mind you they've done it properly- ie. forged internals, front mounts, avo450 turbos, dog boxes, etc. I have trouble keeping up with them some times on cruises. Thinking about an Apexi power fc and avcr for mine at the moment to get a little more pull.

Can you recommend any more rexies to look at. I saw in a magazine once over here an article on a black bug eye in America that had nitrous shooting out the front bar. Looked pretty insane!
