I sold my supra tt a few months ago because my finances had changed and i had to get something cheaper and more practical to run, i didnt realy want to sell it but i just had to at that time, anyway now things have changed again but i fancy something a little different,i have been offered a 94 wrx wagon import with 25000 miles a couple of parking dings, but thats about it totaly standard car for £3000, now not knowing the market on these cars i couldnt tell you if that was a bargain or not, there was however a vibrating sound when going down hill using the gears to slow down, maybe exhaust yes? the car went like stink and was very solid and smooth, 1st time in a wrx or subaru, i could tell you anything about a supra even down to the length of the waterpump bolts bla bla but when it comes to scoobys im a virgin im afraid so any advice would be greatfully recieved, and just one more thing just what is the difference btween a wrx 2000 turbo and a 2000 turbo
thanx

dude one time i tried to put the trailer bully into the coiler, and I got all messed up
Are you in England? If so many people here may have difficulty helping you because the WRX just only came to the US in 2002.
Yes Im In The Uk.
i think a turbo impreza is an impreza with a turbo added aftermarket while a wrx impreza comes from the factory with a turbo.
No, Subaru supplied a turbo Impreza in certain markets as a type of equipment level.
My advice is to make sure the car has a MOT within recent memory and a prayer of making it onto the road semi-legally in a reasonable amount of time. Other than that, do three things:
1. Have an independent specialist look it over closely
2. Do a search here for "how to buy a used WRX" and "aspiring" as keywords; you should come up with a post of mine showing how to evaluate a used Subaru and all the steps to take.
3. Go to scoobynet.co.uk, they're local to you relativley and they generally don't bite plus you can search their fora for answers before asking any questions anyway.
There is also a WRX FAQ, look it up by Googling it. It has a list of model years that suffered specific problems (ECUs, piston slap, brakes, etc.) and a lot of other info about the cars in general.
This a gray/Jap import I assume? Who didn't drive it all these years for it to have such low miles on the clock? Is there a FSH?

OK so far so good. Do the searches I mentioned above and you'll get a bunch of info and it'll get you started at least. Spares should be widely available both new and used (check out Scoobynet) and there are plenty of aftermarket parts for the car too, though they're pricey.

Hi guys i have been very brave and bought myself my 1st wrx, i needed the estate and thats what i got today, its silver 1995 imported in 2002, 80.000miles recorded but more than half of them are km, so its done less than 80, its got a full nurspec stainless exhaust, double din pioneer radio/cd/tape system, momo gearstick and wheel, red top engine, turbo boost gauge mounted in the pillar pod,new pads and discs, tinted windows allround and it runs sweet as a nut, i looked at 5 cars today but this one stood out and just felt right, £3800 + a personal plate M---WRX i will be selling the plate soon though if anyones interested.I did i get a bargain??? i will post pics tomorrow.![]()
