Engine Light!!

I have an 05' WRX. I just installed a DC Downpipe. I don't know if that has anything to do with it but the engine light is now on all the time. It didn't turn on right after I put the pipe in, but like 2 days later. It actually turned on right around 3000 miles. So that me wonder if the light turns on as a warning for "it's time for an oil change" I have know idea. Please if anyone knows this light has turned on please let me know, or maybe it's just because my cars about to blow up or something.

The check engine light is on because of no EGT censor plug on your new downpipe. It's nothing to worry about. You need to get the 10 dollar fix for it, that's all.

Yes, the fix is called an MIL eliminator.
