the 04 has different seats than the 02/03s because the 04s have the solid seat construction and the 02/03s have an adjustable head rest....
the 04 interior is a little different than the 05s...they both have the same solid seat construction but the 05 just used different fabric on the seats and door pannels

The largest difference between the 04 and 05 interior, is the redesigned center console.

    2004 Console:

    2005 Console:

New center console design, new cupholders, and a new steering wheel. Also, the 05 has automatic climate control, and a new stereo.

the 05 interior was designed by SAAB. My first WRX was an 04, and my 05 is 50 times better comfort/looks wise inside.

I personally like the 02-03's a little better. I think the newer ones look more like a luxury car. And I dont think of the WRX as a luxury car at all.

Both the 04 and 05 have Momo steering wheels, but the 05 has a 3-spoke design and the 04 had a 4-spoke design. I personally think the steering wheel in the 04 (and 02-03) looked better and matched the guages better.

Thats kinda funny. It seems like there have been more incidences where I have almost been hit than with any other car ive owned. It may just be psychological tho cuz I love my car so much and my other cars were just eh.

I vastly prefer the Momo 4 spoker that my '02 had.

Having said that, I really like the center dash of the '05's. Definitely a step up.
