    Alot of questions.

So I am new to the world of Subaru. I ahve always been a DSM guy. So I have few newb questions. First, is anyone local in Colorado that is on this list. Sencond. The tick that I hear around the driverside in the engine , is it lifter tick or just how the engine is set up. I heard that this could also be injectors. any ideas. and also will a catback void my powertrain. Thanx

    Welcome.

Check the regional forums for those in your area.

Ticking is normal. Combo of lifter/general valvetrain/injectors noise.

Check with your dealer to see if the will void warranty due to catback. Read up on Magnasun-Morris (sp?) act to educate yourself on warranty voiding.

I thought that the ticking may be from the automatic timing belt tensioner?

The car is a $23,000 Subaru, not a $60,000 Mercedes. I love all the noises mine makes, I've grown used to them. Tells me she's alive and breathing.

    ok that was cheesey
