    Talking Avatar

Hey all my 1st post, I've been lurking for some time very good site thanks for all the information thus far. I will be purchasing a new 05 WRX sti within a month or so (just got a hugh income tax refund and bonus check) and I'm trading in a 2001 Lexus IS300.

I'm having problems uploading my avatar, I keep getting this message when I try to either upload from my computer or "FreePhoto Server.com" :

"POST requests from foreign hosts are not allowed."

What's up? The file size is only 16 Kbytes and 179x179 pixels

The test avatar did not work for me either that was specified in another thread I got the same error page.

That's very odd about your avatar... I'm not sure what could be causing that.

On another note, I MUST see pics of your MGB!
My first car was a 1980 MGB.

Might be your host service preventing it. Try to see if you can simply upload your selected avatar as a pic? That might tell you somethingl

Just save the picture to your harddrive as a .gif, then upload it as your avatar. The website your trying to link it from doesnt allow that.

OK, here is a photo of the engine bay of my MGB V8...I'm hoping that in about a month I can post a photo of my new WRX sti.

The engine bay is what I wanted for my Avator but I had no luck the other day loading a smaller photo of it, guess I'll try again.

Yeah, my wife and I like the IS300 very much, sporty yet high quality. The 2001 only came in an auto transmission though. It has 215 crankshaft HP stock and I had it as high as 140 mph indicated on the speedo...they say it tops out at 144 mph but I ran out of room. Also the paddle shifters on the steering wheel are cool. But it is kind of a dog in stoplight-to-stoplight and 1/4-mile runs but is pretty good in roll ons due to the final drive ratio. I didn't do any mods to it at all but I've read you can get up to 605 rwhp with a $15,000 twin turbo, intercooler and chip set up.
