just picked up my '05 wrx wagon

    hi,

I just picked up my 2005 WRX Wagon ...... its amazing!

I know that the question I'm asking has been answered a million times ..... however, I don't have time to read the forum because I"m going on a road trip in about 4 hours ......

Can somebody PLEASE recommend me the "breaking-in-rules" ............. I don't want to be agressive ..... at the same time I don't want to be over-cautious ............. PLEASE ADVICE!

..... and sorry for asking a previously answered question .......

    Thanks very much!

    bd

I was told to go easy for the first 1500 miles. It's going to be tough because you're going on a road trip, but try not to let the rpms hover at a certain point; try and make them fluctuate a bit for the highway break-in. Congrats!

Keep it under 4,000RPM. Vary your speed all the time. Easy on the brakes. This is for the first 1,000 miles.

Make sure the tires are pressurized enough for the trip. Check the fluids. That's about it. Make sure you only put 91 (or 93) octane fuel in it. Read the manual, too.

    Wagons are the best...enjoy!

Wagons, are the coolest. Especially with all your stuff, and still a fun car to drive!
