Need help! 2012 wrx spun bearing problem

Hi guys I'm new to the subie game. I just had my car tuned only had an intake and exhaust on it. The kid spun a bearing on the dyno. The csr only has 30k so it's still under power train warranty. What should I do in order to have them replace this problem. Any advice will help greatly. Thank u 2012 wrx

With all due respect, what type of response did you think you would receive? You(your) tuner spins a bearing while tuning it... I would be shocked if SOA approved this claim, unless you are incredibly versed at spinning tales. You accepted responsibility of the health of your engine as soon as you augmented it. My $.02. It sucks man, and I wish you well, but you gotta be prepared to pay to play.

Not advice...there is no advice. I literally wish you good luck with it because you are going to need it, and I do hope you get it covered

But SOA I'd very very strict when it comes to warranty claims on the impreza and legacy due to these happenings.

They're going to go through your ecu data with their investigation and see that is been operated severely on the dyno, so abuse, they're going to know it was tuned so there's that with tampering with the ecu....
I've seen subaru deny a claim because the owner was red lining the car in 3rd gear and claimed abuse. 2014 sti spun bearing.
The car shouldn't have spun a bearing. ..not unless you were going for a pretty aggressive tune....or a bit low on oil.
Again I really hope it works out in your favor. I know what it's like to be boned like this and it sucks
That is also the risk everyone takes and needs to understand when you start modding your vehicle

You must have known the risk of modifying the car within the warranty period right? Honestly, my suggested course of action is to take the car in and make a warranty claim. Subaru has every right to deny your warranty claim. What's the worst they say? No dice? You're back to square one at that point.

Then it's time to front the bill on a rebuild.

It's definitely worth at least trying. But they're more than likely going to deny it. What will help your chances is also if you're just up front and honest with what happened...the dealer and service advisor might actually cut you a deal on the price, whereas if you try to be sneaky about it they're going to look at you like a dbag and not help you whatsoever. And yes, they'll find out what really happened one way or another regardless so lying about it is going to be pointless

Depending on your level of involvement, anywhere from $3000 to $7000

Just be up front with them and if they say no to the coverage legit "BEG" for maybe a discount or something...

But if they cover it through warranty you gotta post it because that would be hilarious...

Good luck bro, that really freaking sucks like some **** man.
