    I have a 2011 wrx with just a cbe. Im waiting for a protune before I get major mods.

    You're going to have two options:
    1) Email tunes. PhatBotti Tuning is pretty popular on Nasioc.
    2) Drive a bit. Closest shop I can recommend is DSG in MA.

    Are email tunes as reliable as a protune on a dyno? In assuming not..

    DSG is awesome!! They put a new clutch in and tuned my 04 stage 2 WRX last week and the are going to install my new blouch turbo and my intercooler/radiator hoses. They are top notch and wouldn't recommend anyone else in New England.

    there are a lot of tuners in the MA and RI area if you're willing to make the drive. If not, then mail tune would be good as long as you can load it. It wont be as good as a dyno tune, but at least it's something.
