    Kenny,

You should get the Rota's in Cosmic Blue. It matches WRB perfectly.

    Hey Guys,
My name is Emily. I live in Colcehster Ct (a.k.a cow-town USA....) I just got a 2003 WRX wagon a few weeks ago. Black. I currently have no mods and know nothing about this car,but am making a list and going to start when I get my tax refund. I was gonna start with a BOV, ECU, and Boost controller. Unless anyone has better suggestions of where to start
OH, and I'm horrified to put such a huge sticker on my car....Does this double as a support group?
    Em
Ps Im trying to get out of work for the 25th if the caravan is still on

    Emily,

Welcome to NE F4 and congrats on the new car. With WRX's, engine management is key. Skip the blowoff valve as it won't do anything for the car except probably cause problems. There are lots of different types of engine management - the most popular being Cobb AccessPort, ECUTeK, TurboXS UTEC, and now people are getting tuned with OpenECU. Out of all of those, for a first-timer/beginner, I'd recommend the Cobb AccessPort. You reflash your car's computer with the 'stage' you are at (check cobbtuning.com for more info) and you let it be. Read up in the EM forums on here and over on NASIOC to learn a lot more. Be sure to search before posting because people will jump all over you for it.

Anyways, don't worry about the F4 stickers being huge or hurting your paint. The vinyls is made for vehicle application and it's the best stuff you can get ("high performance" rated at 9 years, 2 mil thick). They are 7.25" wide I believe so they aren't gigantic or anything either.

Hi Emily! Welcome to the club, let us know if you have any other questions.

    for now:

Ditch the BOV (it was hurt the car)
Forget about a boost controller (this too will hurt the car)
Buy a Cobb Access Port and flash to Stage 1 (25 whp increase over stock)
    • Increases boost safely
    • Advances timing
    • Changes the Air/Fuel ratios
    • Allows the stock ECU to control the program incase there is ever a problem, unlike a boost controller which would keep boost High and could cause detonation

    Hey Guys!
Thanks for the help! I've started doing my homework in the stickies so I wont ask questions until I read the basics.
I checked out Cobb's web page and the Access ports. But I may have a bump in that plan too....I'm pretty sure when I just got the car, and payed for a three year warranty, they said if I mess with the ECU the engine will not be covered then That of course wouldn't be good....
If thats the case Ill have to find something else to work on! Anyways I know this threads not for this sooooo. Glad to be part of the club and thanks again!
I'm off to read the archives....
