I got more info from going to the dealer and driving it myself.
It's OK. Nav is nice.
We'll see what the STi looks/drives like and then I'll pass judgment.
I kinda threw up in my mouth a little

Oh dear god! Am I the only one who thinks it looks ridiculous? Way too many pieces look thrown on instead of strategically placed. Whatever happened to streamlined and simple???
EDIT: Oh good, I'm not the only one! Thanks Donnie! Nice to see someone still around here who has TASTE!
It still doesn't do anything for me, either.
I'm sure (re: hope) that it will be a fantastic performer, but it still gets a big "meh" from me in the looks department.
The nice thing about Subaru though is that you only have to wait two years before they change it, so there's still hope that the next version will be somewhat more appealing visually.
"The way a press launch for a new car works is, a car manufacturer flies a group of automotive journalists to a nice location, pays their expenses, wines and dines them for several days, and lets them drive the new car all over the place. Then they go home and write objective stories."
