I guess I might need to see it in person too. The 02-07 version had various parts poking out of what could have been a very bland exterior itself. It had fender flares, the certain sections around the nose, a boxy hood scoop, the ridiculous wing on the STi. They made the car look like it was too powerful to be contained in it's own skin. This car looks very weak in comparison.

Also: what's with the Chrysler grill?

I really like the Interior and the Exterior is not bad at all. For the Sedan.
I like that they offer a hatch but I will wait for the next design in the hatch. I dont like the way this hatch looks.

I am attempting to reserve my judgement until I see one on the road (I didn't care much for the '06 in pictures, but I ended up liking it) and I am interested in seeing what the STI version looks like. For now I will say that I am saddened be the new slab-sided look, I always liked the flared fenders, and the more conventional grille isn't much to my liking. I also am not a fan of the dual exhaust on the sedan. I am hoping this car will find styling salvation in the aftermarket.

I am a fan of change and progress, but the taillights on the wagon are dreadfully ugly.

So it looks like the tranny might be revised...you dont say.

I did have a good laugh while looking at Subaru's website they had a dot point saying "Increased low end torque" and when I clicked it a picture of the shifter came up. I thought "yeah that's just what we need".

Until I see it in person and see what it does in stock form I will reserve all my hate. But so far I am less then impressed with the looks and it seems they arent going to take the market by storm with the "rebirth".

Like someone else said if the GTI, MS3, and a few others came with AWD this car probaly wouldnt even make my list.

That was a pretty good unveiling. I've come to the conclusion that the Sedan doesn't look bad. It just doesn't look like a Subaru/WRX that we've all grown to know and love...from the rear it looks a lot like a Ford Fusion to me...or a Focus...

Interior looks good I think...
