    '15 WRX iPhone5 USB audio

Has anyone gotten USB audio to work with the iphone5 and stock '15 WRX (non-nav) system? I'm hoping there's a way to access both music and phone audio over USB as my old pioneer system was able to do, but I'm starting to think it's unlikely...

I should also clarify that I've heard turning off BT on the phone allows at least the music audio to play, but I'd like all audio sources to play out over USB; google maps, phone calls, etc.

Some people say to unpair the phone, then reconnect using the voice commands. Also, I had to make sure my iPhone 5 had the latest software update

I have a 5S. (still waiting on the damn 6plus to arrive. It's only been about 7 years it seems.... But I digress) Mine works on usb but I never bothered to see if the phone was on BT while the audio was usb. It takes longer to connect and play than BT. Aside from aha, I haven't found a tremendous advantage to using the USB over BT.

I do know the audio and phone connections are separate. In other words I can have audio playing from one iphone hooked up but take calls on a separate iPhone.

What difference does it make if the music plays through the usb and the telephone still through the bluetooth?
