2015 bodystyle is growing on me

I have to admit that more and more I see pics of the 2015 STi and even WRX they grow on me. Sometimes there's still the odd bad angle in photos. But it seems more and more people are actually liking the looks as compared to when the WRX came out most people thought it was fugly. Maybe because they were expecting the concept car. I'm really thinking in a couple years of looking at the newer model. I hope Subaru improves the interior more and more and also adds a different motor in the STi. Although the interior is more important.

I never loved these cars for their looks. Heck, I think they are ugly. And I likem that way. They go like stink and look a little stinky too. Real thumbs-nose-at-others cars. But one thing you said is odd too me, the looks of a '15 STI vs a WRX: Differences? Isn't it just a wing and wheels?

I just got the 15 WRX CVT and couldn't be more pleased. It's the best machine dollar for dollar. I love pulling up to M3 at at red lights knowing I could smoke them and they paid $25k more.

Yep. The wing in my opinion hugely improves the car. Same with pre 2015. I figure by 2017 Subaru will make a hatch if they plan to and put a new motor in the STi if they plan to. Then I'll have a few choices. I do admit the recent liking of the 2015 was after I got mine. I didn't consider a 2015 STi as I figured too much money, new model kinks to work out and looks were still a bit not as good. Now for a few grand more a 2015 STi coulda been had. But still I'll wait.

So now that Subaru has a 2015 does this mean like a year and a half till 2016 models?

I doubt you could smoke any m3 in anything...

Nope, I've seen a few around here and I'm so glad I got my '13. Hopefully a new hatch will revive it's looks. The way a WRX looks is the prime reason I started liking them, well before I knew anything else about the car. If the first one I had seen was a 2015, I would have bought something else.

Seems ridiculous that you would buy a car based solely on looks.

How much time do you spend staring at your car vs. Driving it?

I look at it as much as I drive it. When I park and walk away, I do multiple over the shoulder look backs and sometimes I even stop, turn, and and stare. Most days, I do 2 or 3 complete walkarounds before I lock up. I'll even it look out from my apt window from time to time to see it parked on the street.

Looks are what attract me first, then I look for depth. I must have both, but there's an order here

    Meh all WRXs are ugly

    My order is:

GC/GF, Bugeye, Blobeye, 2015, GR, Hawkeye

I'm not sure what happened to Subaru's design team from 2006 through 2014: they must have been drunk.
