I wish I had this thing past the break-in period already. Finding excuses to drive it. Second fill-up was only half a tank's worth. Didn't let it get down to empty.

My STi MPG is getting better as the miles go on. I average 25-26 mpg highway on flat stretches of road.

Picked my car up on 5/12 & I'm at 5800 miles and my math has been working out to about 18 city & have been getting upwards of 28+mpg real mpg on highway with light traffic. This is on a WRX 6spd.

My ODO (lifetime) mpg is sitting at 26.4 with 4,500 miles. About 50/50 driving. My work commute is only 3 miles but do take highway trips on the weekends.

21.6 combined with roughly 2,000 miles on it (2015 STI). Use to get 27 combined on my 2012 WRX. Big change, but who says all change is bad. ha

I didn't get 40mpg drafting 18 wheelers with my Honda civic and it had a 1.7 liter engine.
My 2013 WRX stage 2 gets 17-19 city and 23-25 highway.

Admittedly though the new FA20DIT is seeing about a 25-30% improvement in economy.

I can believe that it would. The NA version of the engine, in my BRZ, is the most economical car I've ever owned. About 70% highway helps, but I drive it pretty gustily once I'm off the highway, and still get 34-35mpg on summer gas. (32ish on winter)

3rd fillup was after a 320 mile road trip. Was around 65-75mph the majority of it with a few spurts to 90-100. Averaged 26.7mpg. This is with 91 octane that has 10% ethanol. Going to start putting 100% gasoline in. Engine is almost past the break-in period.

Just finished my third fill-up, marking the third time under 20mpg in my 2015 wrx. This time I got around 18.6mpg. I'll break that 300 mile mark on one tank of gas some day.
