2015 Subaru Legacy spills out ahead of Chicago - Autoblog
Pretty meh exterior styling (although I'd argue it's better than the outgoing model), but the interior looks much better.
No confirmations on engine options, but I'm confident the 2.5i will remain on the base model. The real question is the fate of the H6, which has been a Legacy/Outback option since 1999. It's a torquey and extremely reliable engine, but the small four cylinder cars have always outsold the flat six, and there are rumors Subaru will be putting the EZ engine out to pasture for the new model.
Another question is whether or not we will see the return of the Legacy GT model. Last offered in the US in 2010, it has remained an option in Subaru's other markets (along with a six speed manual and a wagon, which we've never seen... ). With the 2015 Legacy, some are wondering if the US will see the GT resurrected with some variant of the 296hp turbocharged FA engine, available on Japanese Legacies since 2012.
File this in the loony-bin, but some automotive journalists have taken the Subaru Levorg concept as a sign of the return of the Legacy wagon to the US, which I'm all for. I think the new body style looks fantastic in wagon form, with a profile reminiscent of the Audi RS7 Avant.
