Just picked up mine yesterday. Ended up with with GBS limited MT. Wasn't a fan of the GBS on the BRZ, but on the WRX it really works. Been out driving so I haven't really had a chance to take any decent pictures. So far I absolutely love this car. Power is instant, and boy does it want to rev.

I'll try and get some pictures up after work. I can't get over how stunning GBS is in person.

Why is it that people are taking delivery of their cars already, but Subaru still hasn't updated their site with a 2015 configurator?

We welcome your interest in a future 2015 Subaru WRX purchase. Typically, our site will reflect the new model right around the time of the release of the vehicles to the dealerships. We anticipate mid-spring for the WRX models release to the dealerships. We would recommend keeping an eye on our site where we will post new information when it is available."
    Repost, this thread moves fast

And STI Mikey saw better numbers. Mishimoto mentioned somewhere that they went easy on the first dyno run because the car isn't broken in.

Oh I've seen the thread. I stand by my statement. The 2015 WRX uses a smaller turbo than the 2014 WRX, I can promise you. Much smaller. That doesn't make it any worse, however.

I agree with you. He seems to be very excited for the potential of the new motor. Small turbo and all.

For example, the Focus ST uses the K03 turbo, which only flows a meager 22lbs/minute. And yet, the Focus ST can make a fair amount of power with a tune. It's all about the tech in the motor.

i called my dealer today and chatted with him. he said that the WRX STi's ran the 5x114.3 bolt pattern since at least 2008. so theoretically i could find some used STi wheels and slap 'em on this 2015 with winter tires? tirerack says the STi ran 5x114, but i'm not sure if that's the same as 5x114.3

The USDM WRX STi went to 5x114.3 in 2005. That's why I suggested grabbing STi BBS wheels before they skyrocket in price. Just as an FYI, a set of 2004 17x7.5 BBS wheels (5x100) go for $1500 while a set of 2005-2007 17x8 STi BBS (5x114.3) wheels go for $400-500. This is supply and demand. WRX owners grab up the BBS wheels that fit 5x100 hubs. But that's about to change...

2005-2007 STi BBS wheels are also much heavier...

Too tired at this point to figure out why the other picture won't stop posting upside down, but here is the one half way decent shot I have of my new baby. Doesn't do the color justice.

Damn that looks good! I was afraid that this color would look too 'burple' so I played it safe and ordered the gray... Now I'm wondering if I should reconsider

I had the same reaction from the few pictures I'd seen, and ordered gray, but I'm glad things worked out and I ended up with this car. Absolutely LOVE GBS on this car.
