Yea, I like it now too. Eating my words from last year. Still wish they did a hatch, but I know why they didn't. I still don't like it in read though.

The white does look good. I still dislike the mirrors and the wheels though.

I agree wheels are bit contrast to the body color. Also I wish they have harman kardon speakers without navigation. Seriously my old android phone has better maps than built in navigation.

Can i get after market sound system without breaking bank?

That is a good review, especially coming from a well respected member of the community...and arguably one of the top gurus of suspension and handling advice...

So is anyone worried about the "first generation year issues"?

Honestly, no. I have faith that Subaru has put a lot of time and testing into this new car. Perhaps even more than usual since it's now standalone from the Impreza. You can see how much effort they put in with the videos that interview the design team and development video. However there are typically quirks, as long as they're just quirks, not major recalls. Plus the reviews have been more than positive. I guess only time will tell.

I am not worried about early engine issues as the FADIT has been out for a year in the FXT. The FA itself was developed from the FB, which I believe has been around from 2010. There will inevitably be the odd problem or recall here and there, but I can't think of any recent Subaru endemic which had people panicking. As an '08 buyer I am a little concerned at the JDM HP figures - naturally it makes me wonder if there is a larger turbo upgrade coming soon - but my thoughts are that any such platform would be used in the STI.

As for the car itself, so many people are raving about both the WRX and the STI. Given that the two things I didn't like about the outgoing car (roll and lag) have been addressed, and that I still liked it enough to consider buying one, I don't see how the "best WRX ever" will give me cause for concern.
