Of course the refresh is up for debate. I obviously do not know how drastic the change may be but Subaru has surprised me before. As it is I do not think that the front is as aggressive looking as it should be. The lights position is too far to the edge of the fenders and subdues the flare of the fenders. Had it been like the 2011-2014 I think that would have looked better. All subjective opinion, of course.
The wrx wheels are hideous but can always be replaced. The back end/ diffuser doesn't do it for me either.
So I have some hope that a refresh might address that. For the lights tough I don't think it can be addressed unless they flare even more which at some point would look like they're trying too hard.

5-60 at 6.3s, which I think is quicker than the existing model (6.7?).

A 0-60 time obtained by methods I simply would never use on my car.

That's not to say it isn't fun. I'm just more interested in how the '14 and '15 compare when we get a little spirited on the off-ramps, getting around some idiot in traffic or taking a not-so-often ride in the hills.

It was just a figure for comparison. I think the 5-60 speed might be an indication that it will be faster than the 14 in normal use.

Those 30-50 & 50-70 numbers say "top gear" next to them.

    So what does that mean?

If that's in sixth gear.. then I would expect it to be incredibly slow.

I have a car which the lease ends in May. I have $500 down on a 2014 WRB 5 Door Premium that comes in at the end of the month.

Have I made a decent decision? I'm big on interior, but I'm still thinking I'm not going to regret getting a 2015, and I may not be able to get one within this timeframe anyway.

    Thoughts?

I really like all the numbers and having seen the car in person I'm pretty much sold on it.

It will suck to leg my 2013 go as it only has 4k miles but oh well, who said life was gonna be easy?

Yeah, and that sucks. 6th gear is useless...so stay out of it I guess. I like having good acceleration...top gear or not. I had better numbers in my 4EAT in 4th is my point.

Apparently you like guzzling fuel during your commute.

1.) Fuel economy in an STi is what you make it. Sure you can drive like your foot is on egg shells, but why? Haha its too much fun not to. Enjoy your commute.

2.) Regarding pulls in 6TH GEAR!!!!!!! Wow talk about the best way to blow your motor. Higher gear = higher boost = ringland failure. If you need to accelerate drop a gear. A good tuner will tell you to only pull till 4th. And even still, if your doing a pull in 6th gear, how fast are you going??? 140???? Lol.

    +1

I'm confused. I'm not trying to be mean but is JaySin saying he would rather have a 4 speed manual so his top gear 30-50 time was better? I mean we're talking about 4 cylinder 2.0 liter turbo engine powered car. Who accelerates from 30-50 in sixth gear and is actually concerned with speed? If so you may not want to even consider a 4 cylinder production car turbo or not.
