Anyone have any insight on whether or not the new six speed will hold more power?

I hear you about the fog light area. Local dealer is telling me that I have to put a deposit down if I want one in April. Even thought it's refundable I kind of want to see it first without feeling like I am being sucked in.

Oh, you HAD to go there. Sorry...I was typing while at work and was rushed since I shouldn't be on here in the first place. Ah yes, the advantage of being in the IT dept. I can be a hypocrite.

Finally saw it in real life last week in Detroit. I love the red WRX they had on view there. As soon as I can afford one after school, I will have one. Maybe even finance the majority if a hatch is out in '16 or '17.

I threw these comparisons together when trying to decide to jump on the 14' (which I did) or wait for the 15'... They helped me having a quick side by side of the two cars... Ultimately it came down to I currently like the look of the 14' better... Performance and fun factor I believe on either car was well within where I want / think it should be for a daily driver... So that played little part for me

I'll be curious to see the refinements made over the next few years...

Yeah I know they are marketing it as "looking more aggressive" but I think the 15 looks much softer and generic - but I guess it will evolve over the years

    Well, here's the thing:
I remember hating the 3rd generation when it first came out. Hated the hatch and hated the sedan. Looked awful .
However refinements were made as the years went by, both in terms of power and looks. When the 2011 came out I was sold. In time, we will get used to the looks of the 4th gen.
I predict that there will be a power upgrade on the sti as well as updated appearance when subaru goes through a mid-cycle refresh.
It happened with the 3rd gen for the better. So with time things should work out.
Until then I am keeping my 2011 wrx.

^ Agreed. I stayed away from the 2008 because of looks. Then the 09 came out with more ponies and the upgraded front. I wanted to pull the trigger but still waited because of engine issues.

Then the 11 refresh came out and all the other (major) issues seemed to be addressed. 54,000 miles later on my 2011 sedan and I'm very glad I waited. Same thing could happen to the 17 or 18.

I totalled my last car on 11/12 and so I was excited to see what the 2015 had to offer. I love everything about the car except one big issue. I just can't get over how boring it looks. It's like an amazing car for $25k (est) that just looks dull and plain. So on 12/16 I jumped at the chance for my 14 hatch and don't regret it for a second.

Who cares what it looks like? You only see the inside while you drive... and a more boring car gets less attention from LEO.

Agreed. However a flashy car is more likely to be pulled over.
