I'll buy one if there aren't any reported problems.
If you're upset over someone elses opinions then the issue isn't with the person giving the opinion but rather yourself for taking it personal.

    Lol okay.

If you live your entire shopping life that way you must not buy anything. Literally everything has reported problems.

Oh I do buy stuff lol I wait for the reviews though if it cost alot of money. I'm waiting to buy a PS4 so all the bugs are worked out after the beta testers..er i mean first day buyers try them out. If you just buy things that cost alot of money without reading the reviews on it then thats just foolish.

I have both the WRX & XT. I just find it funny that you make assumptions without any knowledge on the facts. A car doesnt have to look sporty to be fast. Trust me. I like how the XT looks. Have caught many a driver off guard.

Obviously but if a car doesn't look sporty then alot of people would assume its slow. When I see a V8 Mustang I don't consider it to be slow, when I see a old ford taurus I would assume its slow

Anything that's 0-60 in 5 seconds or longer is not "fast" in my opinion, more like quick.

Btw I'm making my assumptions off of numerous car websites that talk about the benefit and drawbacks of cvt plus user reviews who love cvt and people who have had nothing but problems with it and have sworn off ever buying a cvt vehicle again. Have you done research on cvt and the drawbacks on it compared to a regular automatic?

Yep. That is, in fact, how a warranty works. Always.

I'm basing my OPINION on what other people have said and have experienced, I'll reserve judgement for the wrx when it comes out but IN MY OPINION it seems that cvt causes more hassles then benefits.
And immediately after that post the point was made to you that those were, as you just said, from other car companies and re: older cars. You were the one generalizing to all cvts evar.

Respectfully, it sure didn't sound like you were reserving your judgement on this particular cvt application.

You talk as if those cars are 20 years old, they are only a couple years old. Either you're a subaru fan boy who loves everything subaru does or you don't see the negative sides of cvt and just praise it.

So are you saying that the basics of how cvt works in a ford is any different then a nissan?

Wow, do you guys label anyone a troll just because their opinions are different and won't back down to a debate? "Oh I have nothing else to say so I'll just call him a troll" LOL get real, I'm wary about cvt and you're not, oh well life goes on.

Okay, this thread really should survive, so that we can have legitimate discourse about the new model. Any personal-style bickering that goes on past this point will be summarily deleted, and eventually, met with infraction. Let's keep it about the car.
