The boxer rumble gone? I hope not. But it does sound very.... ordinary.

Those wheels are so fussy. They look like a PITA to clean. And still 17s! 18" really should have been standard by now or, at the very least, an option. I can only assume if they were planning that, they would have shown them already.

Looks like my OZ Ultraggera's won't fit on the new WRX.
Arg. Back to trying to sell them I guess. They went with the STI bolt pattern.

Apparently those fancy Headlights will only be available on Limited Trim. Weak.

The LED low beams headlights are only available in Limited. Other than that the headlights are the same.

I really miss the rumble of the UEL headers. But, if the car is as good as this guy makes it out to be, I think I'll live.

UGH. More evidence to the fact that I'm SOOOOO glad I did not wait for this to come out before I got mine. Can't wait for the 2025 WRX. Bye bye engine note that I love so much.

Also, that guy is a total knob.

    I agree!

I like everything about the new car. Well, mostly everything, I dislike it in white and red.

Also, I really really like the price point. They "say" a fully loaded Limited w/ CVT will be at around $33k. For a car that supposedly drives like it does you can't beat that price point in my opinion. I would imagine to get the car like I want it will be around $29k

So, you're glad you got a less superior car performance wise?

Otherwise you're strictly speaking about the looks and the noise. In which case that is all subjective and if you're happy then more power to ya!

    Let's be real..
This WRX, like all WRX's, is NOT an STI. Sure, it may have a new 6 Speed, but it'll probably break just like the 5 Speed. Also, less displacement isn't necessarily better. The current generation outperforms this new model in a straight line. Suspension mods can be had to keep up with it in the corners, but let's be honest, most owners won't take their cars to the track.
Not trying to justify owning a 3rd Gen either, cause if the new STI is anything I hope it will be, I'll trade up.

Lol obviously the WRX isn't an STI. I'm not comparing it to an STI.

The FA20DIT is a better engine than the EJ25. It handles power mods better, gets better gas mileage and the turbo is in the correct place (not to mention it is twin-scroll). These are not opinions, these are fact.

You can't say "suspension mods can be done to make it keep up in the corners" and then say "no one takes their cars to the track". I'm speaking stock vs stock because most people only drive their cars on the road. Stock vs stock the 2015 is "said to" out perform the current generation. I have that in quotes because until we see actual numbers we don't know for sure.

If you love your 3G then by all means continue loving it. They are great cars, no one is denying that. All I'm saying is so far the 2015 looks to be even better.

TL;DR - 2015 > 2011-2014 based on all the information we have right now.
