As for the smaller diameter for winter, I prefer having more sidewall with the potholes/ruff roads during winter.
Yes, the front brakes are sourced from the Legacy GT, so this may be used as a comparison point. The diameter of the front brakes has grown to 12.4"

100% confirmation would be nice. From just looking at the front brakes there is not enough space.

I'm pretty set on getting the 17" rims pictured above as my next car might be an STi so I would already have winter wheels for it.
What tire would you guys run? I love Blizzaks but the only size they make which makes some sense is 215/50/17...

Some 17" wheels will clear STi Brembos. Others won't

I have a question for other WRX owners.

How's your car running on idle? I'm coming from a mazdapseed 3 most recently which sat at a very consistent value. I'm noticing in the WRX it doesnt really sit at any number. It tends to dip to 400rpm then revs to 600rpm and repeats that cycle. I dont think anything is wrong with it, just wondering if anyone else noticed.

Yes, I have noticed that it tends to idle funny. Even my wife who hardly notices anything about cars mentioned it. But I don't think it's a big deal.

Mine does that, my 2013 wrx did the same thing as well. Seems to be pretty normal.

Yep, that was it. With the AC off it sits at 400, with it on it does the cycle. Thanks.

This is a random comment for a 2015 WRX and STI thread. The JDM Levorg and Levorg STI doesn't have anything to do with what it might look like or be called if they brought it into North America.
