I got a great deal as the owner pretty much charged me half the price for them (they are close to brand new), so I figured it wouldn't hurt to try. I am sure I can get most of the money back when I decide what I actually want on the car. I'll probably want a set of 18's eventually. FWIW, the Conti Extreme DWS do not feel as great as I was expecting after some of the reviews here - a little softer than I was expecting.

Gizmo, I will try to get some more pictures tomorrow or Monday. I think the colour looks fine in the dark, but I'd be interested to see if it looks odd in the sunlight or not.
Thanks, gotta love finding deals on wheels. I really want to like this setup, but there's something about it... I'm not sure if it's the color, the size, or the dreary weather. Maybe it's the red from the tail lights, the blue and the gold combination but something looks off.

Side note, do you have any plans to tint the windows? I'm considering a mild tint when I get mine, maybe around 50% or so.

It's just odd, I felt the same way at first but I am starting to get used to it now. It just seems unfamiliar when you first see it, and like I said it's just a temporary plan. I'll try to clean it up a little and get a picture with better lighting this week.

As great as tinting looks I will stay away from it - I like to be able to identify the cars and drivers around me, but after laser eye surgery I struggle a little with reduced light. Apart from the obvious reason for this, I just like to see where other people are looking, whether they are paying attention etc.

Honestly, I would suggest Subaru Extra S gear oil. It's delicious
Isn't that what it comes with?

I've heard it doesn't work well with the STi but the regular WRX gearbox loves it?

Just got back from my first highway trip (140 miles) and averaged 36 MPG doing 70-75 MPH.

I've heard reviews that it's the best thing and the worst. My front diff in whining and I'm really hoping putting extra s will fix it...fingers crossed

Was looking at these two clusters and realized the Redline is different. I guess Subaru physically runs a different cluster in the CVT WRX?

I think the only difference with cvt is redline being 6500 instead of 6700.

In the press video, they mentioned that compared to the forester xt, valve springs in cvt car are 15% stiffer making redline up to 65, while in manual cars are 25% resulting in 6700. That was the only explanation on the mechanical difference. I would bet that the manual prob makes more power than the cvt at the crank because of this, but i don't know for certain

The HK system is only an option for the WRX limited, not standard. From the sound of it: pretty disappointing.
